The Chief of Staff and Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for the Division of Academic Affairs, with responsibility for fiscal planning, budgeting, resource allocation, and workforce administration. The role oversees faculty position control and appointments, adjunct faculty and graduate student payroll, faculty appointment letters, workload analysis, and the review and approval of administrative agreements. The Chief of Staff also leads special projects and management studies that support institutional priorities, operational effectiveness, and informed decision-making across Academic Affairs.

The Vice Provost for Academic Affairs provides strategic leadership and institutional oversight for academic program development and review, undergraduate education, student success and support initiatives, and key academic innovation and partnership efforts. The Vice Provost also provides executive leadership for the Office of Academic Innovation and Learning Support, Office of High Impact Partnerships, Office of General Education, and Office of Institutional Effectiveness and Assessment, advancing academic excellence, institutional effectiveness, innovation, and student success across the University.
Vice Provost for Faculty Affairs and Strategic Initiatives

The Vice Provost for Faculty Affairs and Strategic Initiatives provides strategic leadership for faculty affairs and initiatives that advance faculty excellence, engagement, development, and well-being across the Division of Academic Affairs. The Vice Provost oversees faculty appointments, policies and procedures, the Teaching and Research Faculty Handbook, faculty onboarding and orientation, and leadership and mentoring programs for faculty, chairs, directors, and deans. The role also leads faculty development, recruitment and retention efforts, teaching awards and recognition programs, and other strategic initiatives that strengthen faculty success and support the University’s academic mission.

The Vice Provost and University Registrar oversees the systems and processes for student registration and course scheduling. She is responsible for the optimization of course scheduling and classroom usage, graduation certification, diploma issuance, and transcripts for all current and former students at .

The Dean of the Graduate School provides strategic leadership and institutional advocacy for graduate education, advancing the success of graduate programs, graduate students, and postdoctoral fellows. Responsibilities include strategically aligning and optimizing resources, advocating for investments that strengthen graduate education, and promoting consistent, effective policies and practices across the University’s academic colleges and schools. Through cross-campus collaboration and strategic planning, the position advances the quality, growth, and impact of graduate and postdoctoral education in support of the University’s academic mission.
