The Joint School of Public Health is a collaborative partnership between ¹ú²úÂ×Àí and Norfolk State University to offer experiential learning and research opportunities across multiple campuses. The first of its kind in Virginia, students learn through hands-on experience, classroom learning, and community engagement to prepare for the public health jobs of the future.

The Joint School of Public Health focuses on community engagement, addressing health disparities, and advancing research to improve public health outcomes in eastern and coastal Virginia.

The Joint School of Public Health is undergoing a review by the Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH) for accreditation. Part of this process includes the provision of a third-party comment period, which allows anyone, including students, alumni, faculty, staff, community and practice partners, and members of the public, to share relevant information about the Joint School of Public Health directly with CEPH.
