Student Spotlights
Iroshmal Peiris is a master’s student studying biology in the College of Sciences. He is currently part of the Avian Ecology Lab, with his research interests including bird ecology, migration, connectivity, and vector ecology.
Oleksii Dubovyk is a Doctoral student in the College of Sciences, majoring in Ecological Sciences. In his dissertation, he aims to reveal the mechanisms and predict the future changes in communities of birds facing rapid worldwide urbanization.
Yasasi Abeysinghe is a Doctoral student in the College of Sciences, majoring in Computer Science. She applied for the COVES fellowship due to a strong interest in understanding how technology and scientific inventions impact society and the public.
