The School of Cybersecurity at ¹ú²úÂ×Àí offers an engaging Summer Cyber Camp, run by ¹ú²úÂ×Àí faculty and graduate students, for middle and high school students eager to explore the world of cybersecurity. Participants gain hands-on experience with cyber tools, learn about current threats and defense strategies, and develop critical problem-solving skills in a fun, interactive environment. The Cybersecurity High School Expo connects high school classes from across Hampton Roads with ¹ú²úÂ×Àí’s School of Cybersecurity for an interactive introduction to the field. Through hands-on activities led by ¹ú²úÂ×Àí cybersecurity students, participants explore real-world tools, techniques, and problem-solving approaches used in the profession. The event sparks interest in cybersecurity careers while demonstrating ¹ú²úÂ×Àí’s commitment to developing skilled, future-ready cyber professionals.

The School of Cybersecurity at ¹ú²úÂ×Àí actively participates in the Virginia Beach STEM Trifecta Challenge, helping inspire the next generation of cybersecurity professionals. Each year, ¹ú²úÂ×Àí undergraduate and graduate students volunteer to mentor high school participants, facilitate cybersecurity-based challenges, and guide teams through analysis and investigation of real-world scenarios. By engaging directly with students, volunteers provide hands-on learning experiences, share insights about cybersecurity careers, and demonstrate how classroom knowledge translates into practical problem-solving.

Participation also offers ¹ú²úÂ×Àí students valuable professional development, networking with educators and industry professionals, and the chance to make a meaningful impact on K‑12 STEM education in the community. The School of Cybersecurity at ¹ú²úÂ×Àí, in partnership with the FBI Norfolk Field Office and InfraGard Norfolk, is proud to support the Cyber Summit. This premier event brings together cybersecurity professionals, industry experts, and government partners to share knowledge, explore trends, and discuss critical technical topics.

The Summit features keynote addresses from leading cybersecurity figures and provides opportunities to connect with organizations such as the FBI, US Coast Guard, CISA, and InfraGard. It is designed for CISOs, network administrators, students, faculty, and anyone interested in advancing their cybersecurity expertise and professional network.
