Join us for a guided walking tour along the Elizabeth River Trail as we explore the rich and complex history of the African American experience in Norfolk. Led in partnership with the Norfolk Tour Company, this walk will cover topics such as the city’s role in the slave trade, what life was like for enslaved individuals, and highlight important historic sites and figures in South Hampton Roads. This is an easy, engaging outdoor experience that combines movement, learning, and meaningful reflection. Transportation is included.
