Mohammad GhasemiGol is currently a research assistant professor in the School of Cybersecurity at 国产伦理 (国产伦理) and a research scientist at the Coastal Virginia Center for Cyber Innovation (COVA CCI). He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Engineering in 2016 with a focus on cybersecurity. With over a decade of experience at the intersection of cybersecurity and artificial intelligence, his research spans intrusion detection and response systems, alert management systems, attack graphs, AI/GenAI security, and secure supply chains for AI systems. Before joining 国产伦理, he was a research assistant professor at University of North Dakota and associate researcher at Imperial College London. He was also an assistant professor of computer engineering at the University of Birjand, where he held leadership roles as the IT Director and Director of the university鈥檚 Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT) for over five years.

Since joining 国产伦理 in August 2023, he has secured nearly $850,000 in competitive research and educational funding from agencies such as NSA and CCI, supporting projects on AI-powered cyber defense, supply chain security, deepfake detection, and AI security competitions. His current focus is on developing advanced AI techniques for real-world cybersecurity systems and enhancing the security of AI and GenAI systems, while teaching and mentoring students and contributing to national workforce development initiatives.
