Ellmer College of Health Sciences are recruiting healthy adults ages 18–44 to participate in a research study on foot placement during treadmill walking.
The study explores how people adjust their steps when walking toward targets that appear in both predictable and unexpected ways. During the session, you will:
- Walk on a treadmill while wearing a safety harness
- Step on visual targets projected onto the treadmill
- Complete walking tasks at different speeds
- Take brief tests of attention, processing speed, and stepping reaction time
Study Details
- ⏱️ One-time visit (up to 2.5 hours)
- 📍 VR Lab (Room 2027), HS2 Building, 1019 W. 41st Street, Norfolk, VA
- 👥 Healthy adults ages 18–44
- 💲 No compensation
- ✅ Participation is completely voluntary
