About this Program
¹ú²úÂ×Àí offers a Minor in Accounting. Accounting is often called the language of business because it provides the foundation for understanding and communicating financial information. ¹ú²úÂ×Àí’s Minor in Accounting equips students with essential skills through coursework in financial accounting, managerial accounting, taxation, operational auditing, fraud examination, and data analytics in accounting.

Prospective students may apply for admission to the program for the fall, spring, and summer semesters. The A minor in accounting requires the completion of ACCT 305 with a grade of C or better and 6 hours of 300- and/or 400-level accounting courses.

Examine, analyze, and interpret accounting records to prepare financial statements, give advice, or audit and evaluate statements prepared by others. Install or advise on systems of recording costs or other financial and budgetary data.
Compute, classify, and record numerical data to keep financial records complete. Perform any combination of routine calculating, posting, and verifying duties to obtain primary financial data for use in maintaining accounting records. May also check the accuracy of figures, calculations, and postings pertaining to business transactions recorded by other workers.
